I finally went home. I was practically dragged away, but I had to go home. I needed to be away from you, before I died with you. I was looking through old pictures of us. When we first met, at that bar. It was such a stupid place, but we fell in love instantly. Us at protests. At gatherings. At finally, 10 years too late, our wedding. And I felt happy. I didn’t stress about us. It was then I realised – you had lived such a wonderful, beautiful life. You had achieved the life you wanted. And you had lived that life with me.

And I slept last night.

And I was happy.
